Instrument maintenance
The management of instruments and equipment is crucial, so it must be handled by a dedicated person, and the equipment and instruments must be classified. The details include the following seven points:
1. Conduct meticulous maintenance and upkeep of all types of instruments; experimental instruments should be managed by a designated person.
2. Classify precision instruments and perform regular calibration and testing on each instrument.
3. Maintain records of the use, movement, and inspection of all instruments.
4. No instrument may be lent out without proper authorization.
5. Instruments should be stored properly and kept clean and tidy.
6. When borrowing and returning instruments, check for damage. Report any damage immediately and repair it promptly.
7. Laboratory personnel are responsible for the daily management of the instruments.
Regarding instrument and equipment maintenance, the following are the main 5 points:
1. Before using any instrument, laboratory personnel should be familiar with its performance, principles, and operating procedures. Unauthorized operations are strictly prohibited.
2. Non-laboratory personnel are not allowed to use the instruments.
3. In addition to periodic maintenance, laboratory personnel should also conduct irregular inspections of the instruments and equipment. Any malfunctioning instruments should be repaired promptly.
4. Non-metrology testing or maintenance personnel are not allowed to disassemble, adjust, or move instruments at will.
5. Equipment that requires periodic maintenance must be maintained or repaired on time when it expires, and its use should not be extended arbitrarily.
